Painting through the Lens

Pictorial photography suspends time in a veil of mystery. It erases the exact edges of reality to turn light into a brush, shadows into an ancient secret, and nature into canvases. Each image breathes like a sleeping canvas that invites the soul to look beyond the visible.

Light becomes my oil, my watercolor, the camera and the lens, my brush and the sensor, my canvas. I seek to blur the rigid lines of the everyday to reveal the hidden poetry in details: the softness of a shadow that seems like a brushstroke, the rough texture of bark that mimics an ancient engraving, or a misty atmosphere that evokes the melancholy of a Renaissance oil painting. I do not paint with brushes, but I intervene in time and light so that each image ceases to be a document and transforms into pure emotion.

This need for expression arises from a deep desire for stillness and contemplation. In an environment that moves too quickly, pictorial aesthetics allow me to slow the viewer’s pulse, inviting them to look beyond the obvious.
